The Lovers Lights Showroom
Craft and Design Gallery,
Twickenham
Welcome to The Lovers Lights Gallery, West London's newest showcase for some of Britain's finest designer/maker artists.
What do we love to do most at Lovers Lights Gallery?
We love to solve the problem of: 'Where on earth can I ἀnd something just that bit different'?
When you're looking for something lovely that's unique or quirky,
whether it be decadent, eco or just simply gorgeous.
We could just have the answer!
Nothing here is mass produced, machine made or bought in.
Whether it be hand made chandeliers and lamps from recycled glass,
the best ceramics, designer made jewellery, wood, metal, wall art or textiles.
It's all here in the friendliest and warmest of settings.
A pleasure to visit and take your time over.
We're happy to help and advise if you would like or you're welcome to just enjoy browsing , that's an art form in itself!
Visit the Gallery and soon and exerience it for yourself! We're open everyday from Wednesday to Sunday 10am - 5pm.
Join our mailing list (below) for updates on new artists and courses and events.
The gallery and showroom was conceived and is run by Janis Haves, creator of Lovers Lights - recycled hand made glass lighting.
We present four collections a year and each show will include work by between 15 and 20 artists.
NEW SUMMER SHOW - NOW OPEN
A couple of quick tasters from the new summer show
Ceramic birdhouses… Just when you thought you had the garden or courtyard that has everything! These beautiful statement pieces of artwork are the real thing, gorgeous to look at and loved by birds as well.
Endorsed by the RSPCB, they provide safe, luxury living for bluetits, sparrows and their cousins and also make wonderful additions to your garden, they are not only very beautiful but will last for years and are water and frost proof – perfect!
Hengrels - In the spring of 2011, artist Jule Mallett discovered a new species of chicken: Hengrels. Classified by scientists as an artificially enhanced species of chicken in search of true beauty, Hengrels were discovered living in Surrey. Come and see them for yourself! Her work is fun and full of character.
New Jewellery –to tempt you! Maria Pina Pintus is an Italian designer, now living in London. Her work is unique, dramatic and utterly romantic, Yume Martin is a Japanese designer now living in Surrey, she works mainly in silver, she takes her inspiration from flowers forms and is inspired by nature, fresh, feminine, simple and elegant! Elinor Lamond makes her own stunning ceramics beads and the resulting jewellery is juicy, exciting, creative and full of colour!
Glass – We have all the glass disciplines represented here in this show: Adam Aaronson is one of London's leading glass blowers, his work is sold all over the world and is valued by collectors, Adriana Brinsmead-Stockham works in cast glass, her work is currently inspired by water in all it's forms, Annie-Rie uses 14th techniques to paint gorgeous landscapes on stained glass and I'll take the glass fusing slot with Lovers Lights.
That's just a small taster – we've also got the worlds most loveable 'love bats' made from recycled scrap metal, gorgeous colourful turned and fretworked wood bowls (really lovely) and so much more!
All the artists are up on the artists pages, have a look round but do come and experience them for real – you'll see what I mean!
Courses
We also have an open working studio here and you're more than welcome to come and see how Lovers Lights are made. The other exciting news is that we now offer courses and workshops here in the studio. Many of the artists showing in the gallery also teach so it's the perfect opportunity to meet them and really discover the secrets and skill behind the artwork while producing some beautiful work of your own.
So much to see and do!
Hope to see you soon,
Janis Haves x
